Transit From Fear To Worship

by Pastor Afolabi Oladele

Hello there beloved of the Lord.

Another day for us to look at His word, to transit from fear to worship.

Several Scriptures show our God’s manifestation in the midnight of our struggles.

In Mark 6:48-50 He saw His disciples toil against life-threatening winds, consumed by toil and fear and He showed up in the fourth watch to save.

After His resurrection, with the advancement in revelation of who our Saviour is, the God of all creation (I say again, the God of all creation) the latter day apostles in the midnight of their life-threatening struggles learnt to rest and learnt to trust in His salvation.

In Acts 12:1-10, Peter was shaken loose by an angelic visitation that quaked prison gates open. Paul and Silas in Acts 16:22-26 let their prayer and worship rise like fragrance to the Father. Let me capture that moment in the words of Dunsin Oyekan, in his latest song Fragrance To Fire:

First it was fragrance
Then it turned into fire
My worship is my weapon
This is how I win my battles

The fragrance of my worship rose up to the Father
Noises, thunderings and earthquakes
Were the response of my worship

First it was fragrance
Then it turned into fire
My worship is my weapon
This is how I win my battles

This is the time for us in this midnight hour that we are facing, in these end of times, for the saints of God who understand their place in our Saviour and Redeemer, to rise up in prayer and worship. Let them live Psalms 149:4-9 and Psalms 9:9-11.

This is the hour of victory over the fear of COVID-19.
Arise in prayer.
Arise in worship.
Enter into the rest of my God and see His response of fire consuming the enemy.
Stand strong, lift up the name of our Lord, show forth His praise amongst the heathen, let them see the power of our God at work.

Rest because our God is standing with you.

God bless you.
