The Brethren Fellowship had its origin at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria). From there, the young group of Christians on leaving school, got together with others in Lagos to form what was known as The Brethren Fellowship. The fellowship has since become The Christian Brethren Church.
From the modest beginning in the late 1970s, the church with its outreach ministries has propagated the gospel with all gust and grace, emblazoning the word of God in the nooks and corners of Nigeria and beyond; resulting in the establishment of fellowship centers all over Nigeria, Togo and Republic of Benin.
Our ministrations fulfill the commission of the Midnight Crier: Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet Him (Matthew 25:6). This is what we call the “End Time Message.”
In this area of the gospel i.e. eschatology, God has given us special grace to understand and interpret the signs of the end and these we proclaim: that the Lord is coming soon. This obviously is the endtime, prophecies of the end are fulfilling daily as we see bizarre and mysterious occurrences in nature, society, religion and government. Our ministrations raise an awareness of the times we are living in as we warn of the soon coming of the Lord and the judgment to follow upon the world that now is.
By sound teaching and doctrine we aim to build an army of true believers who will live righteously, soberly and godly in this present world as they look for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the Great God and Our Saviour Jesus Christ.

One of the major arms of his Builder’s Ministry is the Builder’s Youth Forum, which is directed at equipping the youths of the challenges of life. His vision is to expose the sinners of Christ and the saints to the complete will of God, with the sole aim of fulfilling Eph. 4:7-18 (especially vs 13) “till we all come in the unity of faith and the knowledge of son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
