What And Where Is Your Anchor, What Do You See? (Part 2)

You are loved by the Almighty God and chosen by the Faithful Father. Having been loved and having been chosen, what are you seeing in these times? May you recognise His faithful companionship that brings Him in constant fellowship with you; and may you respond in obedience and total dependence and in the assurance that He will work it out, in His own time. Habakkuk 2:14 states:

But the earth will be as full of the knowledge of the Lord’s glory as the seas are full of water.

Ours is to rest on the Word, taking the same position as in Habakkuk’s conclusion in Habakkuk 3:19, a repeat of Psalm 18:33 and 2 Samuel 22:34. This phrase, expressed in several scriptures demands our attention and understanding as to how to respond to these times!

**He maketh my feet like hind’s feet as light and swift as that of the enemy is, either to flee, when there was a necessity for it, or rather to pursue after the enemy, to run through a troop, and leap over a wall. This same phrase may be understood in a spiritual sense of that readiness and cheerfulness with which the believer run the ways of God’s commandments, when their hearts are enlarged with his love and grace; and may very well be applied to Christ, who is often compared to a roe, or a young hart, for swiftness; who readily and at once engaged to come and do the will of God.

and setteth me upon my high places; the towers and fortresses, and strong and fortified places, where he was safe from his enemies; and in a spiritual sense, the everlasting love of God, the covenant of grace, its blessings and promises and Christ himself, with the fulness of grace in him, on which believers need to be focused, and in faith remembering that Christ sits on God’s right hand highly exalted and set above all principalities and powers, higher than the heavens
