When mammon rules the heart of a man, the pride of its presence is manifest in the following way:
- Idolatry (self-worship)
- Seeking power, and use of the same in interfering in the lives and control of others seen as lesser beings
Consider our text Ezekiel 28:5, 5-17a,18a (NLT) extracted here–
Yes, your wisdom has made you very rich, and your riches have made you very proud…You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you. Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So, I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire. Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor… You defiled your sanctuaries with your many sins and your dishonest trade. So, I brought fire out from within you, and it consumed you… Ezekiel 28:5,15-17a,18a (NLT)
Look at these victims of mammon and the path they trod, the rulers of the greatest nations in the Bible
- Pharaoh—Exodus 5:2; Exodus 7:8-13
- Nebuchadnezzar—Daniel 3:1-3 (note the prophetic declarations and warnings in Isaiah 46:5-7; Jeremiah 16:20—the cry of the heart to this generation),
Watch the development of the acts of Trump techno-mega billionaires, hastening of the antichrist world control and the omen of the rare planetary alignment parading over the ascendancy of the 47th presidency. You will wonder for this nation, America, a satanic tool in the hands of Satan in selling idolatry and rebellion against God’s word. As these techno-mega billionaires race that country’s efforts to rule the world by currency control (crypto madness) their first target will be the people whose lifestyle is avowed separation from idolatry (Daniel 3:6,8)!
Anyone who refuses to obey will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace…But some of the astrologers went to the king and informed on the Jews. Daniel 3:6,8 (NLT)
What is your conversation, your lifestyle, dear brother? (See Philippians 1:27-2:30 (TPT); 1 Peter 1:15-16; 2 Peter 3:11). Self-examine yourself with the following questions please!
- Has the blessing of God become an instrument of entrapment of those vulnerable dependents (Matthew 18:6; Mark 9:42)?
- Have you bent the knee to mammon’s threats?
The prophesy of Isaiah in Isaiah 43:2 is still active and will still be fulfilled as was done to the Hebrew children in Daniel 3:24,25. Repent and return to the Lord, for there is little time left. Shalom.
