We are still dealing with 1 Corinthians 10:8, and how this is being manifest in our days, amongst young and old, male and female. Do not ignore this present danger, take steps to rid yourselves of the unabating satanic influence. Here is another testimony, this time from a brother from Kenya.

Few days ago, when I was in my room relaxing after work, I was very tired just waiting for time to pass so I could cook some supper before I retire to bed. As I was meditating on the activities of the day and how the next day will be, the urge for sex aroused in me, I started to get an erection and the devil was trying to direct me to the clutches of masturbation. I tried to shift my mind not to masturbate but the devil would not allow, but the Holy Ghost told me to listen to a worship song. How the way erection stopped I can’t explain!

Beloved, if we deliberately start listening to only worship songs in our lives then we shall not have time to even think of masturbation, pornography or fornication.

Years back, I once embarked on 3 days dry fasting and prayers to pray out myself from the yoke of masturbation and pornography addiction. I remember, one cool evening during the second day of my dry fasting, I was sitting outside my apartment and was so weak and hungered. I was so desperate to get myself delivered of the long years of the chronic immoral sexual addiction.

On that fateful evening, I was listening to the song titled “SING TO THE LORD” by gospel singers Hillsong. The song portrayed “Jesus Christ as a holy saviour, let all earth give Him praise” but here was I in the depths of incurable addictions.

I cried and wept to him that evening to help an unrighteous and unfaithful servant like me. Now, anytime I play the song, I always see myself shaking my head in remembrance of the Lord’s goodness upon my life.

I have numerous heart reviving songs but this particular song will always stick to my memory. It empowered and encouraged me to depend upon God who is holy and ever present to make anyone who trusts Him to become righteous and to dwell in shadow of his holiness. When I eventually got serious with God, implementing every resource in order to break out from the tyranny of masturbation and pornography, the first thing I did was to format my phone memory card because I was once an R&B and country music lover. I began to gather different gospels songs and today I can’t number the numerous songs in my laptop because I am never tired of listening to them.
