The nations of the world are crying out again in unison about a second wave of the COVID-19 virus attack. People again are getting gripped with fear of reliving the horrors of April, May 2020 with the economic and movement dislocations. Believer or not, men and women who call on the name of the Lord or the superior spiritual being to whom they hold allegiance become virtually transactional in their supplications. Particularly for the believer, our focus shifts to the Lord solving one problem or another, from covering a financial or healing an ailment! But is this the time to get transactional in our relationship or the time to hear what He is saying and to seek His understanding of the times and the seasons we are in!
In Colossians 1:9-11 Paul admonished the Colossians in a prayer that each of us must personalise.
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. Colossians 1:11 NLT
It is only in knowing His will for the hour and getting full spiritual understanding that our response to the challenges of the hour can bring Him praise and we live our lives to bring Him honour. No need to shake because as we do this the endurance and patience that we need to counter and neutralise the crisis of the hour will flow from Him.
