What is this gospel of the Kingdom that we are to preach (Matthew 24:14)? What did the apostles of old preach that led to Acts 17:7? We need to know lest we run in vain!
The Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father; Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. This is the heart of the gospel of the Kingdom that we preach, that your eyes be open and that you turn from:
- darkness to light; and
- the deceit of Satan who is the present of ruler of this world and controller of your present rulers,
unto God, that you may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Jesus Christ.
Dear friends, this Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ is at hand. Don’t be like the citizens who lost their place because they rejected the rulership of Christ (Luke 19:14,27). Your offence that separated you from God, the sin that held you captive to Satan and his kingdom, Jesus Christ paid the penalty and freed you from the claws of sin. Flee from the wrath that’s coming! That’s why today, our God is appealing to you, not accusing you anymore but that you return to Him as a son, an heir to the Kingdom once you believe and accept the Jesus Christ as both Lord and Saviour.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:16-19.
He is still appealing today (2 Cor. 5:19) because it is still the acceptable year of the Lord. Soon and very soon, the door will be shut. Please do not reject Him any longer, today is the day of salvation.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed…for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-11,12b-13.
Thereafter, you can then confidently say I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
