In the song Amazing God from the Album Red Code, Dunsin Oyekan sang:
You speak from heaven
We call it thunder
You are amazing
You smile from heaven
We call it rainbow
You are amazing
You look from heaven
We call it sunshine
That’s amazing
And You made me
In Your likeness
Super amazing
You are amazing God
You are amazing
You are amazing God
You amaze me!
Your eyes are full of love
And it’s overwhelming
Pouring down as rain
And Your evident presence
All over blowing as the wind
Thinking about these words, whose lives should embody and manifest these traits…what should the words provoke in us if John 17:10 holds true?
For all who belong to me now belong to you. And all who belong to you now belong to me as well, and my glory is revealed through their surrendered lives. John 17:10 (TPT)
When we take our text scripture in John 5:
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will…I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:19-21,30
this brings to light what happened in Genesis 2:4-9. Adam had to be in place to witness how God did it all in the garden, so he could be a proper regent exercising all the delegated powers of the Almighty God! Now think of what the Lord spoke just before His transition:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it…He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him…Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him….But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:12-14,21,23,26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: and ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. John 15:26-27
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. John 16:13-15
Please put together the bold portions in these quoted scriptures, you’ll realise than the Lord has brought us back to the pre-fall state, that we can do all He did and more if we will only let the glory show through our surrendered lives! May the Lord bring us into this revelation and may we surrender to truly exercise our full representation. Selah.
