See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16
So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. Ephesians 5:15-16 TPT
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Colossians 4:5-6
Walk in the wisdom of God as you live before the unbelievers, and make it your duty to make him known. Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith. Colossians 4:5-6 TPT.
Knowing the time, take advantage of everyday for the days are evil. Be careful how you live and particularly in your interaction with the unbelieving. Our words or communication must be without ambiguity, thoroughly drenched with grace remembering that every word spoken is a seed. No word that may bring forth corrupt fruit in the life of our hearers ought to be spoken; rather we must be effective witnesses to the Lord. This is the reason for the admonition to be ‘quick to hear, slow to speak…’
This is the time to patiently work through our relationship with others, particularly in the household of God and see how to season it by:
i. Offering a listening ear;
ii. Showing compassion in meeting identified needs; and
iii. Studying together and challenging one another to good works
It is time to pray for deliverance from biased communication that is coloured by own opinion rather than God’s. Such brings only divisive arguments. Selah.
