2 Chronicles 19:6,7(KJV) speaks concerning the responsibilities of God appointed judges—
And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment. Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. 2 Chronicles 19:6-7
Can you expect the same from any unrighteous nation? No. Should you pine over this? Only if you do so as the Lord demanded of us in Luke 18:7-8.
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:7-8
Now that faith is what is key to disengaging from the pervasive societal corruption and injustice! Focusing on all that the Lord is, and recognising the temporary nature of the world system compared to the everlasting kingdom that sons of God are called to, that’s the basis of our victory! This is the foundation of the faith of those described in our main text, which led them to consider the world as unworthy of them!
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: and others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise. Hebrews 11:33-39
Beloved, deliver yourself from the distractions posed by the things being thrown at you by the fallen gods that rule the nations and focus on the promise of God that cannot fail. Shalom.
