Knowing Christ and Power (Part 2)

We continue pursuing the knowing of the Lord our God, consider the following depositions.

  • Romans 1:16 (AMPC)—For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and to the Greek.
  • Romans 1:16 (TPT)—I refuse to be ashamed of the wonderful message of God’s liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere!
  • Ephesians 1:19-22 (NLT)—I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.

There must be an intentionality on our part to declare this message of Christ, knowing how great this power is, superior to any other power whether beneath, on or in heaven above! Moreso as this power is for the benefit of the believing church.

  • Ephesians 6:10 (NLT)—A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
  • Philippians 3:3,21(NLT)—For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort…He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.
  • Philippians 4:12, 13 (TPT)—I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.

Need we further argument? It is up to us as individuals to know and test these testimonies of the greatness of the power unleashed in Christ’s name, in the face of the challenges of our time. Will you speak Jesus Christ? Shalom.
