Who Is On The Lord’s Side?

Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. Exodus 32:26

This was the rallying battle cry, for a choice between following God or lifting up your soul to vanity (idolatry). It’s a decision cry to be on God’s side and not on the side of sin, coated by the world system as good or neutrality.

The world system of control stands in full development and utterance as did Goliath in the repeat of 1 Samuel 17:20-25; to note are verses 10, 42-44 against verses 45-50.

And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together… And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance. And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. 1 Samuel 17:10,42-44

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands. And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. 1 Samuel 17:45-50

The world’s money and life control system in development and utterance is breathing threats against the Lord God of our salvation, standing to contend against the elect of God and the Lord Jesus Christ and His plan as stated in Ephesians 1:11; and we are all wondering how shall the elect escape (Revelation 13:15-18)?

As the prophet declared “the revival of the spirit of David”, in full expression in 1 Samuel 17:45-50 above, allegorises Revelation 12:11. The elect stone of God that we are, acting in the way David did will bring to pass Daniel 2:34,45.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces… Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. Daniel 2:34.45

The weapons—the blood of the Lamb (the proclamation of the finished work of the Cross in courage and fearless defiance of the system, the testimony of Jesus) represent the charge that stops the advance of the satanic kingdom.

  • Every day we fail to cry out aloud enlarges the population taken by over by Satan’s master plan — the cashless society and subsequent substitution with digitalized currency;
  • Every day we waste extends the time of the reign of the oppressor, the liar and murderer.
  • Every day we refuse to warn delays the coming of the kingdom of God (2 Peter 3:12-13; Matthew 24:14; Luke 21:24).

Brethren as Elishah asked Gehazi, we ought to ask ourselves, Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? (2 Kings 5:20-27). Be warned of the danger of subversion by greed and worldliness. Who is on the Lord’s side? Selah.
