We can survive without people but cannot survive without God, hence sometimes He strips away the props that make us dependent upon people. He may send certain individuals to help build our faith and develop our character and when they are gone, we are left with the assurance that He is in control. The loss of props (human or otherwise) develops our spiritual muscle, tests our resilience, revealing the scope of the MIGHTY power that works in us
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:20
Consider what Joshua was told at the demise of Moses, he learnt more that he could ever have learnt with Moses in the picture.
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Joshua 1:5
When valued helpers are separated from us, we can see God at work, getting us ready for the higher assignment He purposed for our lives. So be of good cheer, for all things work together for your good. Shalom.
