What Is Your Take On Prophecy? (Part 3)

So, where are you? Awake or Asleep

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.  And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me. Matthew 26:36-46

Nothing is as damning as this event described in this text regarding those to whom the Lord revealed His heart’s priority. In this 11th hour or the end of His ministry on earth, these who are commonly called His inner circle were tasked to do the most important assignment of the time. But alas they were unprepared for the epic battle they were called to join! They slept off despite the prodding from a yet accommodating Savior. May this open the hearts of the many end time proclaimers who cannot see the heartbeat of the Lord at this 11th hour before His coming. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14.

You watchers of the time may I remind you of John 4:35, 36. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

There is time no longer! Let us labour while yet it is day to bring in the souls He died for.  He that winneth souls is wise and there are wages both to the reaper and the gatherer in this last harvest. Shalom.
