The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? Isaiah 21:11
The pilgrims, travelers journeying through Petra, the chief city of Seir were asking the watchman what time is it? What are the conditions out there? The watchman’s response is clear: ‘it is darkest before the dawn.’ Aren’t we in that situation now?
This month of June is witnessing significant movements, crossing signs that the watchman must pay attention to, the troubled night howls before the ushering in of the glorious kingdom of our God:
- 10th June 2021 was the solar eclipse, with what a solar eclipse portends regarding gentile judgment;
- Naftali Bennet took the reins of rulership of Israel from Bibi Netanyahu on the 13th June 2021; and
- Ebrahim Raisi on the 19th of June 2021 was elected President of Iran
Two hardliners in terms of their positions one whose prophetic name – Genesis 49:21 and Deuteronomy 33:23 – perfectly compare with the nature and intent of this new Prime Minister, if his government lasts! The latter part of verse 23 perfectly speaks to the stance of Premier Bennet on repossessing the portions of the West Bank.
On the other hand, we see the archenemy of Israel, Iran, under a champion with a perverted name of the father of faith, a clear indication to the evil nature of the rulership and its beliefs. Is the stage being set for the dark night before the day? Let the watchmen be in their places warning the people and praying for the nation of Israel.
Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! Isaiah 64:1,2
Shalom.
