Understanding and Responding to Divine Call (Part 1)

When God calls, it to fill a gap in the understanding of His will for a people. What He communicates becomes the purpose for the called. It was so with the disciples as He declared to the disciples in John 17:18, 21. Paul declared the same in Galatians 1:15-16 (ASV):

But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood.

Other than that the target audience was different, Paul had the same call that the apostles of the Lamb had, make known to the people Christ, and the salvation in Him (Acts 26:17-18). He speaks directly and uses His trusted ones to guide those unfamiliar with His voice or His methods.

Should it be different for this generation? Why would you assume a call and in self- deception bring yourself to judgment and lead many astray? One thing is as clear as the day, what we are not called to! Do you know what this is: Listen here?

  1. Philippians 3:19 (AMPC)They are doomed and their fate is eternal misery (perdition); their god is their stomach (their appetites, their sensuality) and they glory in their shame, siding with earthly things and being of their party.
  2. Hebrews 13:9-14 (AMPC)Do not be carried about by different and varied and alien teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established and ennobled and strengthened by means of grace (God’s favor and spiritual blessing) and not [to be devoted to] foods [rules of diet and ritualistic meals], which bring no [spiritual] benefit or profit to those who observe them. We have an altar from which those who serve and worship in the tabernacle have no right to eat. For when the blood of animals is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin, the victims’ bodies are burned outside the limits of the camp. Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city’s] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God]. Let us then go forth [from all that would prevent us] to Him outside the camp [at Calvary], bearing the contempt and abuse and shame with Him. For here we have no permanent city, but we are looking for the one which is to come; and
  3. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (AMPC)For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, and will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.

Like the two sides of a coin, those in ministry to serve their worldly lusts and build their worldly empires are in error, and they lead those who are willing to be deceived! Don’t fall prey for they are rampant in our neck of the woods and the people would have it so. Listen and deliver yourself by the word of revelation shared with you and flee for your life. An end is appointed to this madness run for your life! Selah.
