As it was in the times of the early apostles, so it in our days! Pretenders, sorcerers and deceivers parading as ambassadors of Christ, deceiving, bewitching and extorting from the ignorant with faked miracles and claims lacking in the word of truth.

Acts 19:11-19 tells of itinerant exorcists or magicians, religious traditionalists, the 7 sons of Sceva who failed the test of believing with the heart for righteousness and confessing with their mouth the Lord Jesus. You may call upon the name of Jesus yet you do not believe in Him in your heart (Romans 10:8-12)! Even hell’s demons knew they were fake and turned on them. They were impersonators, with pretended identity.

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matthew 16:16

If you are Christ’s, He knows and affirms His name and word in your mouth. There are the conditions precedent, summarized in the code for empowerment in Mark 16:17-18; and only so can the promise of John 14:12 be yours and mine.

Quit your sorcery and lies and turn to Christ in genuine repentance of your wickedness, so you can have His life in you. Shalom.
