Sometimes what we meet in this life pilgrimage throws us off balance. Are you in such a situation today, and you are a committed believer in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ? When you wonder, what is God doing about your situation, think on these scriptures:
- Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34 (NKJV)—The only One you need, the only One that matters is actually continuously interceding for you.
- Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)—Looks like His principal pre-occupation is to intercede for you!
- Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)—What can you be passing through that surpasses His agony? He not only understands your travail but is doing something about it, Look to Him, not to yourself or your circumstances
- …But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father–[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father’s will in every purpose, thought, and action] (1 John 2:1 (AMPC)—A Redeemer who is face to face with the Father so even if it is a fall, a sin, He still intercedes!
More still, when you do not know what to pray we are made to remember by Romans 8:26 (AMPC)—So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
Beloved, there are no easy answers to our whys but we can each take comfort and courage in this great Saviour who lives to intercede for us. Selah
