Infallible Laws of The Kingdom In Application (Part 1)

Coming out of a truly solemn assembly, it seems good to follow if only for emphasis on the matter of spiritual seedtime and harvest. Our emphasis is on the spiritual seedtime and harvest. There are three laws that are complementary that no prophetic utterances can cancel, these are:

  1. Law of seedtime and harvest (Genesis 8:22; Ecclesiastes 3:2);
  2. Law of reproduction and multiplication (Genesis 1:21-31); and
  3. Law of sowing and reaping (2 Corinthians 9:6)

These laws have been misapplied in evangelical-Pentecostal settings to the extent that they are seen as relevant to their doctrines of prosperity. These laws have a duality to their applications – temporal and spiritual.  Whereas the former speaks to temporal blessings that are at the centre of prosperity preaching, the spiritual deals with the conditions to satisfy the desires and purposes of our heavenly Father, the giver of the laws.

In the spiritual context we bring the following truths as reminders to all who will stand in the coming indignation – Isaiah 26:20, 21.

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:20-21

Our focus is on four spiritual things to which we draw particular attention:

  1. Prayers
  2. Alms giving or any giving for that matter;
  3. Fasting; and
  4. Witnessing of repentance or evangelism

Sowing and reaping implies a wait and is thus related to the Law of seedtime and harvest. Nothing good grows overnight. The farmer must be patient in order to see the fruit of his labors. When the Bible likens the ministry to planting, watering and reaping (1 Corinthians 3:6), it suggests a length of time. God will bring forth fruit to His glory in His time. Until then, we faithfully labour in His field (Matthew 9:38), knowing that “at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9; see also Psalm 126:5).

We reap in kind to what we sow. We reap proportionately to what we sow. The rule is the more seed planted, the more fruit harvested. In other words, the Law of sowing and reaping is related to the Law of Multiplication. Jesus spoke of seed that brought forth “a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown” (Matthew 13:8). As we proceed further the message to etch on your heart is to wait for God’s time on any and every issue you bring before Him. This will be your peace in 2021. Selah.
