How Much Of Christ Am I Carrying?—2 Corinthians 3

Our text today raises some points for our meditation.a) Verses 1-3 — what is the impact of your life and evidence of your work? Is it measured in numbers? Or in the manifest transformation in lives that conform to the life of Christ? (Be ye followers of me, as I am a follower of Christ). Am I or are we a living manifestation of the attributes of Christ, of the Holy Spirit?

For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God. Philippians 1:10-11 NLT

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:3-8

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 3:19-26

b) Verses 4-6 — It is in our submission and willingness to be as God demands of us as lights that He empowers us (Phil. 2:13-16). Don’t open the door of your mind to polluting spirits.

c) Verses 7-12 — If what has been delivered to and into us is so glorious, compared with whatever the “old man” may have or aspire to have, then let that “hope of glory that excelleth” drive your life.

So dearly beloved, is the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ diffusing through you? Are you allowing Him to dispense His life through you or is there a blockage that must be dislodged for the union to be fully consummated?

My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine! Galatians 2:20 TPT

Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished.  Behold, everything is fresh and new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 TPT

Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life emerges! 2 Corinthians 5:17 MSG

Please think on these things. Selah.
