Consider our theme scriptures.
Either make the tree sound (healthy and good), and its fruit sound (healthy and good), or make the tree rotten (diseased and bad), and its fruit rotten (diseased and bad); for the tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit. You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked)? For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:33-34 AMPC
Matthew 12:33,34 tells plainly that we speak what fills us, what fills our hearts and minds!
Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery]. James 4:8 (AMPC)
Divided hearts with divided interests cannot fear God, and are full of spiritual adultery
Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; …so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it). 1 Peter 4:11 (AMPC)
Your speech betrays you, showing whether you are of the generation of vipers or the oracle of God. Gracious utterances come out of pureness of heart and that’s what makes us friends with the King! (Prov. 22:11).
Would you do the necessary today, checking what proceeds from your mouth? Shalom.
