Christ is our cornerstone. On Him alone we build.

These words from an old hymn echo the truth that He is the only foundation that fits God’s measuring line of justice and the plumb line of righteousness.

Isaiah 28:17 NLT says, 

I will test you with the measuring line of justiceand the plumb line of righteousness.
Since your refuge is made of lies,a hailstorm will knock it down.
Since it is made of deception,a flood will sweep it away.

Upon what is your life built on? Or yet on what are you building?

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it (Matthew 7:24-27 KJV).

Be wise, consider and act so you are not swept away by the ravaging crisis of the times.
