Christ centred, Christ consciousness were words I picked a few days ago listening to Fox News interview of Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of Hamas leader turned believer. He said it was the fact that one was willing to die for the redemption of another that got to him.
As I pondered his words, I could not get away from the wonders of God’s grace towards me and indeed towards every man as expressed in the following scriptures:
- Romans 5:1,2 (NLT)—Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
- Ephesians 2:13-16 (NLT)—But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.
Oh, what grace, what wonder, to be made right with God, and united with one another in Him. Think on what He has accomplished for us and in us. Let us drop all the prejudices and walk in His love and what has been established for us. Selah
