In such times as we are faced with, we need to do a self-check that fear has not chained us within gates of complacency! Are we cowering behind the questions and streams of internal debates; the challenges of “What if this or that happens”?
If we find ourselves in this state, then it’s time for radical action and to find resolve in our courageous answers. This is the time that we must run as hard as we can into the unknown holding to the only certainty we know, the unfailing promises of our heavenly Father. Remember the Lord’s communication in John 16:33 (TPT)—And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world, you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!
We can learn from the assurances given Israel in Isaiah 43:2,3 (NLT)—When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
We must stop letting the fear of what may or may not happen hold us back. Rather than being frozen in place and faith feels scary, we need to find God. We need to courageously confront fear by taking a risk and moving forward knowing the validity of Ephesians 1:19-20 (AMPC)—And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places];
and when we’re not even sure if we’re hearing God, let’s do the opposite of what fear tells us to do. The Lord’s will is revealed when we confront our questions and stop allowing them to hold us back. Finally, remember that faith is courageous and that the word written in Ephesians 3:20 (APMC) says—Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]!
