The apostle Paul wrote, “Godliness with contentment is great gain… For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” (1 Timothy 6:6,10). These verses remind us of where our priorities are to be placed.
James warns us, “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God”
Feelings are fickle and change like the wind, yet people give them so much power in their lives. Feelings only persuade you to have your own way.
Beloved, it is a dangerous time to be ruled or governed by your feelings and emotions. It is time to decidedly practice 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.
