You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me!

Joseph’s example reflects the freedom bequeathed on a heart that forgives; but more was Joseph’s recognition of the divinely imposed responsibility as one blessed of God not to hold anything against his offending brethren.
