The Apostle John, writing to fellow believers said, “I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” What that means in essence is that, your progress cannot be disconnected from your spiritual progress.

We see from this Scripture that Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. Note that He was led into the wilderness, that He did not go just because He wanted to go.
Mark 10:17-24 tells the story of the rich young fool. By this encounter, Jesus was telling the people around Him that He had stepped up the pass-mark for entry into the kingdom of God.
