Catching A Glimpse of The Power That Works In Us (Part 2)

by Pastor Afolabi Oladele

What is holding you back from standing in your possession? Fear, self-condemnation or feeling unqualified? Our text, the entire chapter is worthy of close study, reveals – This section of Proverbs is attributed to Agur, who gave these oracles to his protégés Ithiel and Ukal. Now Agur means “to gather a harvest.” And he was the son of Jakeh, which means “blameless” or “obedient.” Jakeh could be another name for David, Solomon’s father. Now we can say that these prophetic writings are meant for blameless and obedient sons of God to be gathered in the soon coming harvest. In the narrow sense can we say that David and Solomon were blameless and obedient? But in the light of what God had done for them by reason of covenant, they were blameless and obedient!

Even so Christ made us blameless by imputation, and through His mercy, we accessed grace unto obedience, now zombies of love to Him who gave His life that we have full and unrestrained access to such power belonging to the One described in our text.

Who is it that travels back and forth from the heavenly realm to the earth? Who controls the wind as it blows and holds it in his fists? Who tucks the rain into the cloak of his clouds? Who stretches out the skyline from one vista to the other? What is his name? And what is the name of his Son? Who can tell me? Proverbs 30:4 (TPT)

Did you know the answers to these questions? John 3:13 (NLT/MSG) gave both answers but more what is the name of His son – Matthew 8:27; Matthew 16:16; and John 1:12 says you (confess your name) are the son of God!

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! Matthew 8:27

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matthew 16:16

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12

Need I say more? Will you arise and take your place and see the power in you arise with you? Deliver yourself this day. Selah.
