Are you divided between the world and the word (1 John 4:4-6)? Is your pursuit of love, security and approval in people or things? Are you persuaded that these external things are transient and never satisfy? Think deeply, ponder on these questions and locate where you are.

We heard the Lord say expressly that My food is to do the will of My Father and to finish His work. Our daily hustle can be reduced mainly to food, shelter and clothing. All the three are for sustenance of the body yet life sustenance is to do the will of God. So, the real question to answer is what is the will of God concerning me?

1. 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Micah 6:8; John 17:15-19 speak to the things we need to do so we understand and do His will
2. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7 speak about holiness, sanctification and sexual purity

Doing His will (prioritizing His kingdom and obedience to His instructions (Matt. 6:33; 7:21) is the bridge linking seeing and entering the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5). Prioritizing His Kingdom and obedience to His instructions are further explained in the following scriptures. Check what you do, if you are complying:

• Acts 26:17-20
• Psalms 145:12; Psalm 105:1
• Ephesians 6:19; Ephesians 3:10-21 and
• Matthew 9:31

Through exercising ourselves in these we discover purpose. Do you know His purpose for your life? If you do, then the pursuit of the purpose He created you for, the assignment He gave you to complete is not negotiable, so you do not fall into the danger clearly explained in Matthew 24:42-51!

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 24:42-51

Are you a wise or wicked servant? You do not need a big or popular platform to fulfill purpose. Fulfilling purpose is warfare, so be prepared. Prayer is the key to your defense based on a life that Satan has nothing to latch on to, no dust for the serpent to feed on (John 14:30;15:15-16). Selah
