Our Dwelling Place and Tabernacle of Safety (Romans 12:1-2)

The least reasonable service that we can render to God is to present our body, this temple:

  1. A living sacrifice
  2. Holy, and
  3. Well pleasing—just as the Lord did!

This is the most appropriate description of true worship, as we infer from the Apostle John’s statement in John 1:14, the temple of God amongst His people, a holy people, just as He had always desired (Exodus 8:20c; 9:13c).

Note again the rendition in the song of Moses in Exodus 15:11,13,17

Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?…Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation…Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. Exodus 15:11,13,17

Indeed, as stated in Psalm 93:5 (TLB)

Your royal decrees cannot be changed. Holiness is forever the keynote of Your reign.

There is no option than for us to fit into His mode. Selah.
