What Is Your Wisdom? (Part 1)

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. Deuteronomy 4:6

The thesaurus defines “wisdom” as the quality of having experience, knowledge, good judgment… and one is prompted to ask, what if there is no experience or yet as we find today, that the experience is that of a fallen society where might is right, morality and action are as you feel, where there are no absolutes.

Perhaps most important is asking this question of the larger segment of our society today, the youth of the Gen-Y, Gen-Z and Gen…what next! Millennials think differently, not inherently better or worse, but different. This current generation responds based upon cultural and family factors and where neither has biblical absolutes you can see where the society is heading.

Recognising these attributes positions us to better communicate as the Lord did to that generation going to the Promised Land that was predominantly young people below the age of 21! Our text sets the perfect context to communicate what makes for enduring wisdom to all. Are you wise?
