Understanding The Breaker Part 2

by Pastor Afolabi Oladele

The dimensions of God are manifold. The ordinary mind cannot even decipher the minutest of His revealed nature, let alone search out His manifold wisdom and nature. But in His kindness He keeps revealing more and more of Himself to His children, so that they benefit from His nature and thus serve Him better – with more zeal, more trust and more gratitude (Deut 29:29).

In part 1, we drew lessons from three main events that taught us how to conduct our relationship with the Eternal God, starting with

  1. The judgment of Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron in Leviticus 10
  2. The breach of Uzzah in 1 Chronicles 13:7-14
  3. The breach at Perrazim in 1 Chronicles 14:1-11

So we’ve seen Him coming out to defend His holiness and integrity in one dimensions of the Breaker. But it’s not restricted to this; He also comes out to fight for His children. That’s our next focus

The Breaker in operation in a positive way

And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them. And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.  (1 Chronicles 14:8-11)

Between 1 Chronicles chapters 13 and 14, David had learnt to ask God for guidance before any endeavor. Give honor to who is your head – the King of glory. The Breaker is in operation in a place where obedience prevails. When you give honor to Him, when you lift Him up and say, “Lord, guide me where I am going,” He shows up for you.

When things are strange and no one can predict what tomorrow will be like, your only anchor is to, your only hope is to go ask Him about the step you want to take, He will show up for you.

Could the experience at the breach of Uzzah be what drove David to always find out from God what to do and how to deal with issues when the nature and the personality of God is at stake.

Why Israel?

God gave a covenant to Israel; it became known as the everlasting covenant. The terms were simple. Let me be your God and I will bless you; in any way imaginable. That covenant was also tied to the land God gave them to occupy: Israel

That land has remained an issue of controversy, from the day it was given by God till date.  What is so fantastic about Israel? Why Israel? What is so fantastic about that land? Why the land? I discovered that there is more to the land than meets the eyes. Do you know that every great wave of UFO sightings that took place in recorded times has taken place in conjunction with events in the life of modern Israel.  And you wonder: activities in the air, activities in the spirit realm, over one small land?

Let me give you some examples. There was a great wave of UFO sightings in 1897 and that was the year of the first Zion East Conference. Major sightings took place exactly 50 years later. And you know what the number 50 means – jubilee. Exactly 50 years later another sighting took place in 1947 to 1948; that was when Israel was officially allowed to become a state. The Suez War was after a wave of sightings in 1956 and 1957. In the midst 1960s, about 1967, you find another wave of great UFO sightings and the next thing you saw was the 6-day war. And lastly you find the Yom Kippur War preceded by UFO conferences in 1972, and another wave of UFO sightings in 1973 as the war began and progressed.

Everybody may hate Israel with venom so strong to make a viper blush, but they don’t also understand that God is the God of Israel; He is the Shepherd of Israel and when you put your hands upon the apple of His eyes, like He said in Deuteronomy 32:10, He’s going to take it personal, and you may not live to tell the story of the encounter.

1967 – The Six Day War

In 1966 the Syrian attacks on Northern Israel from the Golan Heights intensified, and in the spring of 1967 the armed clashes between the two countries escalated further. Fabricated Soviet reports of alleged concentrations of Israel troops near the Syrian border made the Arab leaders step up their against Israel, and on May 15, 1967 the Egyptian president Nasser ordered his troops across the Suez Canal, into the Sinai Desert. In the following days Nasser expelled the UN peace-keeping force and reimposed the blockage of Eilat.

Israel sought support for the lifting of the blockade with its Western allies, but was rejected. The Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol stated in a speech that Israel did not seek a military confrontation with its Arab neighbours. With Israel completely isolated, Jordan and Iraq joined the Egyptian-Syrian defense pact, while several other Arab countries promised support for the coming war against Israel. Nasser declares that the Arab’s objective was the complete annihilation of Israel.

Surrounded by the Arab armies, which, measured by troops and equipment, outnumbered the Israeli armed forces more than two to one, and with the prospect of being attacked from all sides, the Israeli chose to strike first. On June 5, 1967 Israeli warplanes bombed Egyptian airfields, and in a matter of a few hours eradicated almost the entire Egyptian air force. Israel appealed to Jordan to stay out of the fighting, and promised that if it did, Israel too would refrain from attacking Jordan.

But when the Egyptians reported of their allegedly successful attack on Israel, Jordan that same morning initiated a massive shelling of West Jerusalem and other Israeli population centres. Syria bombarded northern Israel from the Golan Heights, and Jordanian, Syrian and Iraqi planes attacked other Israeli targets.

Israeli jets were dispatched against Jordan and Jordan and Syria, and quickly destroyed both countries’ entire air forces. Left completely without air support, already on the first day, the Arab armies were doomed, and within only six days Israel conquered the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Desert, the Golan Heights and the West Bank, including the Old City of Jerusalem.

1967- UN Resolution 242 and the “Three Noes”

In the wake of Israel’s overwhelming victory in June 1967, the United Nations Security Council on November 22 the same year adopted resolution 242, setting the guidelines for future peace negotiations. The resolution called for a peaceful solution, negotiated between the parties and based on the following principle: Israeli withdrawal from an unspecified part (to be negotiated) of the territory occupied in June 1967, in exchange for which Israel’s neighbours must recognize the Jewish state, guarantee its security and respect its borders.

Israel accepted resolution 242, having from the outset shown willingness to negotiate a withdrawal from most of the territories in exchange for peace. The entire Arab World rejected the resolution. At a summit of the Arab League in Khartoum, already in September 1967, a resolution was adopted containing the following “three noes”” no to peace with Israel, no to recognition of Israel, no to negotiations with Israel. Years later, a number of Arab states have accepted resolution 242, however in a somewhat liberal interpretation, according to which Israel must unconditionally surrender all the territories conquered in 1967.

1969 – The War of Attrition

The Six Day War had only just ended, when Egyptian forces started shelling Israeli positions along the Suez Canal. Israel’s answer was to conduct air and commando raids across the canal against Egyptian targets. The Soviet Union sent large amounts of advanced weaponry accompanied by Soviet military advisors to Egypt, and in the summer of 1969 Nasser declared a “war of attrition”, aiming to inflict on Israel the highest possible amount of losses, and thereby breaking the will of the Israelis to maintain the occupation of the Sinai Desert. But the strategy failed, the crisis escalated, climaxing in the summer of 1970, when Israeli fighter jets downed four MiGs flown by Soviet Pilots. The US pushed for a cease-fire, which then came into effect on August 7, 1970. The War of Attrition ended up claiming several thousand lives on either side of the Suez Canal.

God’s Prototypes

Now the question is why does He do that? Why does He watch over that land? God designed Israel, and then the church,  for a purpose. They are not by accident at all, they are to replace Satan and the fallen angels after they had been used as prototype to show the nature and the goodness of God to the whole world.

Rahab’s statement shows this: Joshua 2:9-11 “And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.” That was Rahab. Look at the statement that she made. That is the statement God expects to run through from that time till today.

Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you. But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day. Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. Deuteronomy 4:3-6

A special set of people, peculiar: His prototype. And  engineers will tell you that you make others (multiples) from a prototype.  And He said it is for the other nations around to see, meaning they were living, not even for themselves, but as examples unto other people. This is the original intention of God for Israel. And as it applies to Israel in those days, so does it apply to the church.

In Isaiah 2:40? “he said they will minister in the temple of the Lord”. It was Satan and his cohorts if there were others joining him that were in charge of the sanctuaries before, before they fell. In Ezekiel 28:15-18 we are told “they ran errands for God,” they were the ones in charge of the sanctuaries and God said these ones, the redeemed of the Lord shall now be doing the job.

In Revelation 14:1-5 he said I saw heavenly mount Zion and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.  And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.”

They will go about with Jesus – they are going to replace the angels. That is what is at stake for you. And the Devil who has been there before, who knows what heaven is like (the Bible says he walked amongst the stones of fire; he was in Eden, the heavenly Eden, the garden of God, the special place of God) doesn’t want you there. Each time he sees you, he knows what is ahead of you. He knows what he has lost and it is like fire coming from within him. And he gets angry and he lashes out. And that is why the Shepherd of Israel says I am perpetually watching over these ones: ‘you are not going to lay your hands on them except there is a necessary trial. And when you decide to do it, I am going to match you strength for strength, wisdom for wisdom; you can’t defeat them!’

Satan doesn’t like it, and that is why that zone, Israel has become a battle zone right from the beginning, till date. It was like God saying to them, I sent you packing from heaven; now you are here, okay, I’m still coming after you. Like the Wild West Sheriff would say, “I am gonna run you out of town.” But now, I’ll not fight you, my children will:  Psalm 8:1-5 “O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.”

Psalm 127:3-5 “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”

So it was like God putting pepper in their eyes, and their reaction has been the struggle against Israel through the ages. Iran wants to build atomic bomb, so that they can destroy Israel. Same with the other Arab nations. But they don’t understand; they are being pushed and manipulated by spirits who sees Israel then, and the Church now as the foot soldiers of God, set up to harass and destroy their earthly kingdom. So beyond physical human beings, there are very potent spirits that are working underneath to see to the eradication of Israel and the breaking of the Abrahamic covenant. But it is not possible, because from the scripture in Ps. 138:8 we read that God will perfect all that concerns us (Israel and the Church).  He will not forget the works of His hands (His covenant inclusive). That is where your cooperation is highly needed: God works through our prayers, so we need to take our stand now and stand in the gap for Israel, and by extension, the Church.
