The bureau of statistics of virtually all nations except China has been reeling out data on unemployment in the month of August 2020; enough to discourage and set the heart in despair! For those who are redeemed of the Lord, who are conversant with His ways and have made a covenant by sacrifice (Psalm 50:5), let me remind you of His promise in Isaiah 58:11

And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not (Isaiah 58:11).

My prayer for you is that the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of His spirit that hope is sustained (Romans 15:13) and that He will flood your heart with His light so you can see the future He has called you to share with Him (Ephesians 1:17-18), that future transcends anything here. That’s why the hope must be sustained.
