Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6-7
God’s outstretched arm in appeal to man for reconciliation to His creator will not be forever. This much is borne out in our scripture text of today. Why are you delaying when He gives the Word to overcome the aggressive barrage of negative thoughts that assault your mind? Why do you persist in standing in the counsel of the ungodly, walking in the way of the wicked which is the habitation of sinners? His Word sent to you brings beneficial results as our text affirms (Isaiah 55:10, 13). You need not continue in your self-serving argument to justify your disobedience.
All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 MSG
Return in repentance, turning away from your transgressions and receive Him as Lord and Saviour.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:10-14
It’s time to come home dear friend. Selah.
